This policy applies to SteadyAndStrongWellness.com (the “Site”) and to purchases made through it. In this policy, “Steady & Strong Wellness,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Site, and “you” refers to anyone who visits the Site or buys from us. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: when you create an account, your name, email address, username, and password (stored in hashed form).
- Order information: when you place an order, your name, email address, billing address, shipping address (for physical products), phone number if provided, and the products you purchase.
- Contact form submissions: when you contact us, your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Email sign-ups: if you choose to join our email list or request a free download that requires an email address, your name (if provided) and email address.
- Comments or reviews: if you leave a comment or review, your name, email address, and the content you submit.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. When you pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, your payment details are sent directly to Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full card number. We may receive limited information from Stripe, such as the card type, the last four digits, expiration date, and the billing ZIP code, to help us process orders, issue refunds, and prevent fraud. Stripe’s handling of your information is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.
- Download records: when you download a digital product, we record the date, time, and IP address of the download to manage access and prevent abuse.
- Cookies and similar technologies: described in Section 4 below.
2. How we use your information
- To process and fulfill orders, deliver digital downloads, and ship physical products
- To create and manage your account and provide access to your purchases
- To send transactional emails such as order confirmations, download links, shipping updates, and password resets
- To respond to your questions and requests
- To send newsletters or promotional emails, only if you’ve opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
- To detect and prevent fraud, spam, and security issues
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting requirements
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, with service providers who are required to protect it:
- Payment processing: Stripe, to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Hosting and technology: our web hosting provider and the software that powers the Site (WordPress and WooCommerce), which store Site data on our behalf.
- Shipping carriers: your name and shipping address, to deliver physical orders.
- Email services: providers that send our transactional and (if you’ve opted in) marketing emails.
- Analytics providers: as described below.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, us, or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
4. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies that make the Site work, such as keeping items in your cart, keeping you logged in, and securing checkout. Stripe may also set cookies to help prevent fraud.
- Preference cookies that remember choices such as your comment details.
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are popular, so we can improve content. Analytics data is used in aggregate.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart, checkout, or your account from working properly. Where required by law, we’ll ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
5. Contact form submissions
Messages sent through our contact form are stored in our Site’s database and delivered to our email inbox so we can respond. We use them only to reply to you and keep a record of our correspondence. We don’t add you to our marketing list because you contacted us.
6. Data retention
- Order records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (generally up to seven years).
- Account information is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time, subject to our need to retain order records.
- Contact form submissions are kept for up to two years, unless we need them longer to resolve an ongoing issue.
- Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Analytics and server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, a PCI-compliant payment processor, hashed passwords, and restricted administrative access. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information. You can also update most account details yourself in My Account.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax purposes).
- Portability: receive your information in a commonly used format.
- Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we don’t sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, but you may still make this request.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to limit or stop certain processing.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion and correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of information described in Section 1 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and limited geolocation derived from IP address) for the purposes in Section 2, and disclosed them to the service providers in Section 3. We do not sell or share personal information, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR-style rights)
If you’re located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your information on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you (processing orders and providing your account), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Site), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies). You have the rights listed above and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our Site is operated in the United States, so your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
How to make a request
To exercise any of these rights, please reach out through our contact form and tell us what you’re requesting. We’ll need to verify your identity, usually by confirming the email address associated with your account or orders, and we’ll respond within the time required by applicable law (typically within 30 to 45 days).
9. Children’s privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our kids and teen programs are designed to be purchased and used by parents and guardians. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. Health information
We don’t ask for medical or health information, and we’re not a healthcare provider covered by HIPAA. Please avoid sharing sensitive health details through our contact form or comments. If you choose to, we’ll use them only to respond to you.
11. Third-party links
Our Site links to outside websites, such as health organizations and social media. We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we may provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
